(Lewiston, Maine) – Due to overwhelming demand, the Business to Business Trade Show Committee is pleased to announce the expansion of this year’s Androscoggin Business to Business Trade Show to include an outdoor venue.

Geared towards vendors interested in showcasing large equipment such as mobile marketing vehicles, boats, construction equipment, cars, trucks, luxury transportation, recreation and sporting vehicles, cranes and more, committee member Stephanie Lewis of the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council expects a strong showing.

“We have a total of 23 spaces sectioned off within the lower parking lot of the Androscoggin Bank Colisee,” said Lewis. “The spaces range in size from 18 by 40 feet all the way to 24 by 54 feet in order to accommodate the major promotional units and larger trailers.”

Presented by the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council, the event will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston and is considered by many to be the premier networking event in the state, renowned for its ability to draw an estimated 2,500 business professionals from throughout New England.

“We’ve been exploring the idea of opening up the outdoor venue for the last few years, however we simply haven’t had the means to accommodate the basic logistics to make this happen,” said Lewis. “We were able secure the services of Creative Elements, a local event management outfit in Auburn familiar with the Trade Show, to help facilitate this exciting expansion.”

With overnight security provided, a first year flat rate of $475 per booth will be offered to all vendors, regardless of size, interested in participating in the outdoor venue. A $100 discount will be available for any vendors interested in purchasing both an indoor and outdoor exhibitor space.

“In order for us to continue to grow the excitement and anticipation of the event, we had to make an informed decision about what we could accommodate for an outdoor venue,” said Lewis. “Having successfully been 100 percent sold out the last seven years, we know there is a demand and backlog for this type of opportunity.”

Started in 1995, the event has grown in size and attendance every year. The 2012 event was the largest on record and featured over 185 booths and 167 exhibitors across 57 market and industry segments.

“For the last few years we have had to turn away businesses interested in participating at our event because we simply didn’t have the capability to showcase their business model indoors,” said Lewis. “This outdoor venue will provide us a real opportunity for vendors to demonstrate some exciting projects more appropriate in an outdoor setting.”

Recognizing that small businesses make up the majority of business growth in Maine, booth fees will remain the same as the previous year with costs ranging from $225 to $625 per indoor space. Additional discounts and savings are available for Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce members.

“I think we are making some very exciting improvements to the show this year in order to elevate the experience beyond anything our exhibitors and attendees have seen in a long time,” said Lewis. “We have always had a few outdoor exhibitors but we’ve never fully embraced this opportunity to expand. I think for the roughly 2,500 professionals we expect to attend, they will be pleasantly surprised with the quality of networking opportunities.”

Admission is free with a business card and free parking will be available the day of the show.

Entering the 18th year, the Business to Business Trade Show will focus on how businesses have built relationships from the ground up in order to grow their business.

“Ultimately this show is about networking and shaking hands,” added Lewis. “Even if a business is unable to exhibit, they can still attend and take advantage of the opportunity to interact with thousands of business professionals who are searching for new ideas and new business opportunities.”

As has been the case for the past seven years, booth exhibits are expected to sell out. Colisee Set to Host Maine’s Largest Business Networking Event

Business to Business Trade Show Thursday, June 13, 2013

(Lewiston, Maine) – The Business to Business Trade Show Committee is pleased to announce the date of this year’s Androscoggin Business to Business Trade Show scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the theme “Building Connections for Business Success.”

Presented by the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council, the event will be held at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston and is considered by many to be the premier networking event in the state, renowned for its ability to draw an estimated 2,500 business professionals from throughout New England. Entering its 18th year, the one day event will focus on how companies have built relationships from the ground up in order to grow their business.

“Personal relationships are paramount to any successful enterprise,” said committee member Stephanie Lewis of the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council. “The Business to Business Trade Show provides an opportunity for hundreds of businesses and thousands of professionals to meet, shake hands, and exchange ideas, all under the convenience of one roof.”

Organizers have unveiled an upgraded website that takes advantage of social media mediums including Facebook and Twitter, while also providing businesses and attendees the ability to register online in order to streamline the check in process on the day of the show.

In addition to the increased digital presence, event organizers seek to improve upon the major marketing successes from the previous year.

“For the last seven years we have successfully sold every single last booth,” said Lewis. “Traditionally, we have only averaged a handful of exhibitors from outside Androscoggin County. But as markets North, South, East, and West of us continue to look at Lewiston and Auburn with incredible market potential, we’ve seen a strong showing of new exhibitors and new businesses using the event as an effective personal introduction piece.”

Started in 1995, the event has grown in size and attendance every year. The 2012 event was the largest on record and featured over 185 booths and 167 exhibitors across 57 market and industry segments. In addition to the need for state wide networking opportunities, Lewis expects an even stronger demand for this year’s event as businesses continue to look for efficiencies and new market opportunities.

“Last year we saw an unprecedented 51 percent turnover of exhibitors with over 28 percent outside of Androscoggin County,” said Lewis. “When we opened this up with our major statewide marketing push, dozens of new businesses jumped at the opportunity to showcase in L/A. I think the excitement and buzz about what’s happening in Lewiston and Auburn has made a lot of businesses take a second look at the area.”

Business professionals are encouraged to attend the event as there is no fee when a business card is presented at the door. The event is open to the public.

Recognizing that small businesses make up the majority of business growth in Maine, booth fees will remain the same as the previous year with costs ranging from $225 to $625 per space.  Additional discounts and savings are available for Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce members.

Before the event, exhibitors and attendees are encouraged to participate in the largest Chamber breakfast of the year at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Lewiston beginning at 7:15 a.m. The annual Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce Kick-Off Breakfast is expected to surge to over 400 participants at a cost of $18 per ticket for members and $25 for non-members, with tickets going on sale for the breakfast beginning May 10, 2013.

Immediately following the Business to Business Trade Show’s conclusion, the Chamber of Commerce will then host the largest Business After Hours of the year. Held within the food concession area of the Colisee, the free event is open to all exhibitors, attendees, and Chamber members.

“Ultimately this show is about networking and shaking hands,” added Lewis. “Even if a business is unable to exhibit, they can still attend and take advantage of the opportunity to interact with thousands of business professionals who are searching for new ideas and new business opportunities.”

Booth space is still available, however space is expected to sell out.

Business to Business Trade Show Sold Out; Features Largest, Most Diverse Trade Show Yet

(Lewiston, Maine)- Maine’s largest business networking event will kick off Thursday in Lewiston with an estimated participation of nearly 2,500 attendees and exhibitors for the all-day occasion. With over 165 exhibitors representing 186 booths, event organizers expect a busy day of networking and engagement at the 17th Annual Androscoggin Business to Business Trade Show

“This is an exciting day,” said Stephanie Lewis, a planning committee member for the Business to Business Trade Show. “We know we are asking a lot by having businesses, large and small, take a full day in order to exhibit at the show. However, these representatives are on the front line for innovation and investment. Together with industry and business leaders from over 57 market segments, these representatives are committed to getting the exposure and networking needed for their organization to succeed.

In a major marketing push, committee members decided to market the Business to Business Trade Show outside of Androscoggin County to the rest of the state and New England. “For the first time in years, we have a number of exhibitors from points north, south, east and west,” said Lewis. “Traditionally we have always averaged a handful here and there, but because of the outreach, we have almost 51 percent new exhibitors over the previous year with over 28 percent outside of Androscoggin County.

Not only will new exhibitors be in attendance, but a new website and social media tools have been put in place in order to help streamline the event.

“In our view, it was necessary to bring the Trade Show back to the forefront of premier networking events in the state. Not only will we have over 80 new exhibitors showcasing their organization, but these are all businesses that get to experience first-hand the support system for the Androscoggin County business community right here in the heart of Lewiston and Auburn,” added Lewis.

Admission is free with a business card. For more information, please visit www.b2bMaineTradeShow.com or call event organizer Calvin Rinck at (207) 784-0161.

Trade Show Marks 17th Anniversary of State’s Largest Business Networking Event

(Lewiston, Maine) – The Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council has announced the date and theme of the 17th annual Androscoggin Business to Business Trade Show.

With the theme, “Networking Locally, Connecting Socially- Get Connected,” this year’s show will be held Thursday, June 14, at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston.

Considered by many businesses to be the most significant networking event in the state for its ability to draw nearly 200 exhibitors and an estimated 2,500 attendees, this year’s show will focus on how businesses have used social media to enhance their brand, while at the same time maintaining important relationships by networking and meeting face to face.

“Whether you use social media or you don’t, it’s here,” said Business to Business Trade Show planning committee member Stephanie Lewis of the LAEGC. “Nothing should replace meeting people and shaking hands. However, what we are interested in is how businesses have used social media to interact with customers to enhance their brand.”

Organizers have unveiled a new, dedicated website that allows exhibitors to register online while also taking advantage of social media mediums including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and RSS feeds in order to connect with exhibitors, attendees, and sponsors.

“With the recession and the related sobering changes of the last few years, companies have had to rethink their business models and marketing strategy,” says Lewis. “Naturally, we would all like to have a 365 day presence in television, print and radio, but few of us can afford that.”

Organizers will also host some of the mainstays that have made the show successful year after year, including a giant Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce breakfast at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston, and a Business After Hours featuring local restaurants.

“Ultimately, this show is about networking and shaking hands,” added Lewis. “As we move forward into another year, the Business to Business Trade Show gives us all an opportunity to network, talk and open up new opportunities.”

As has been the case for the past six years, booth exhibits are expected to sell out but attendance will remain free for those presenting a business card at the doors. For more information about exhibiting, please visit www.b2bMaineTradeShow.com, call Calvin Rinck at 784-0161, or e-mail crinck@economicgrowth.org. Sponsorship opportunities also remain.
